After an argument with her mother on Sunday night, the girl called her fiance and along with him reached her in-laws’ house at Sambhal Adda in the city. Taking the matter seriously, the police started searching for the girl and found her at her in-laws’ house. On Monday morning the matter reached the police station and the Panchayat went on between the two parties for hours.
Considering the girl’s stubbornness and social shyness, the Panchayat decided that both of them should get married without waiting for Eid. After this the relatives took the girl to their home. However, the marriage has not taken place as of now. Inspector in-charge Prempal Singh says that the girl, angry with her mother, had reached her in-laws’ house with her fiance. On receiving information, the police recovered him and handed him over to his parents.
