Later Ram Charan starrer Telugu film ‘Magadheera’ broke the record, which continued for 1000 days in Vijayalakshmi Theater in Kurnool.

The blockbuster ‘Chandramukhi’ was the Tamil remake of the 2004 Kannada film Apthamitra. While the Kannada film itself was also based on the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu released in 1993. You would be surprised to know that Apthamitra completed a 365 -day run in almost all theaters in Karnataka.

According to the available information, the original Kannada film Apthamitra was produced for just Rs 3 crore and it earned around Rs 12-20 crore. At the same time, the budget of its remake ‘Chandramukhi’ was about 19 crore rupees and its worldwide earnings had collected about 88.75 crores.
