UK Study Program for UP Students: Government of Uttar Pradesh has launched a new scholarship scheme in the name of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Every year 5 students will get an opportunity for higher education in Britain, which will bear the cost UP and the British government together.
Up scholarship scheme: There is great news for the meritorious students of Uttar Pradesh, who dreams of higher education in Britain. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that now every year five students of the state will be given scholarship for studies in Britain. The special thing is that the Uttar Pradesh government and the British government will bear the entire cost of this scheme together.
Why Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scholarship Plan launched?
This announcement was made at the tribute meeting held in Lucknow, which was placed on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. For this reason, this scholarship has been named Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scholarship Scheme. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that “This scholarship is considered a prestigious opportunity in Britain. We have dedicated it to his name to pursue Atal ji’s memories.”

What will be the benefit to students?
Five students selected under the scheme will get an opportunity to study in UK universities and colleges in the UK (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) programs. Half of the total cost of studies will be borne by the British government and half the Uttar Pradesh government. This step can open a new path for those students who are unable to fulfill the dream of studying abroad due to economic reasons.
When and how will the opportunity get?
At present, the government has not issued detailed guidelines regarding the amount of scholarship and selection process. It is expected that soon information related to qualification, application process and other conditions will be made public. Education experts believe that the scheme will give the students of the state a chance to compete internationally.
Who were present in the program?
Several leaders including Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak, Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Patel and Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal were present on the occasion. The official guideline of the scheme is yet to be released. The eyes of students and parents are now on the next announcement of the government, so that they can know when the application process will start and what are the conditions for it.
