The LDA is preparing not only housing, but also to give a new gift of greenery and walks to the citizens. “Namo One” will be developed at Ghaila near Vasantkunj scheme. 13.41 acres of land has been marked for this. Mayor Sushma Kharkwal also inspected the site on Thursday.
Namo One will have these facilities: Plants attracting dense trees and butterflies, bamboo forest and bird-friendly garden, water body and jogging tracks, open gym and cafeteria, training centers for children and tourists. This forest, built at a cost of about Rs 15 crore, will be developed by Miawaki method, in which 1,31,250 saplings will be planted.
