Deal between India and Morocco
The country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Moroccan Defense Minister Abdelip Lodiyi held a beileral meeting in Rabat on Monday, in which both signed a MoU for the Defense Cooperation. India’s Ministry of Defense said that it gives a solid framework to strengthen the growing partnership between MOU India and Morocco. This opens the way for Kolaboration, Joint Exercise, Military Training and Capacity Building in the Defense Industry. This deal will further strengthen India’s defense sector in the coming days.
The ministers of Defense of both India and Morocco expressed the intention to deepen the old friendship of India-Morocco. He agreed to prepare a roadmap on issues like Counter-Terrorism, Maritime Security, Cyber Defense, Peacekipping Operations, Military Medicine and Expert Exchange. Rajnath Singh announced to open a new defense wing in Indian Embassy in Rabat. He highlighted India’s defense industry’s maturity and advanced capabilities, such as drones and counter-drain technologies, and assured Morocco that Indian companies could meet their defense forces needs.

The defense ministers of the two countries emphasized the need to increase exchange between arred forces, support training programs and find opportunities for co-development and co-production in the defense sector. He also spoke about multicile cooperation to deal with global and regional security challenges and strategic importance of Indian Ocean and Atlantic Corridors in Maritime Security.
Milestone for Defense- Rajnath Singh
India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also gave a formal invitation to Lodiyi for discussion to increase defense cooperation in India. The Ministry of Defense of India described this meeting as an important milestone in the Defense Relationship of India-Morco, which shows the growing partnership between strategic interests of the two countries. Morocco is a maritime nation and likes India with a unique geographical position with Costlines of Meditranean and Atlantic Ocean. The relations of India-Morocco have been from the 14th century, when famous traveler and writer Ibn Batuta came to India. Joint working groups are found regularly to further strengthen the beilells relationships.
