A girl studying in seventh class died under suspicious circumstances in a village of Kotra police station area. According to the police, prima facie the girl’s health deteriorated during sexual intercourse, after which she died on the way while being taken for treatment.
After the incident, there was a situation of tension in the village. After consultation, the police kept the body in the mortuary located in Kotra. As soon as information about the incident was received, Police Officer Mughalaram reached the spot along with police personnel. Hundreds of villagers including the family members of the deceased were present on the spot.
To control the situation, the police kept the girl’s body safe in the food grain store building of the village, locked the main gate and appealed to all parties to exercise restraint. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Additional Superintendent of Police Gopal Swaroop Mewada also reached Kotra. At around 5 pm, ASP Mewada personally inspected the body of the girl in the presence of a doctor and a female employee. Villagers say that the girl was having a love affair with a teenager of the same age from the same village.
