Do you ever feel as if your joints are slowly getting stiff? Is there difficulty in walking, pain increases when getting up and sitting and sometimes it feels as if there is a blockage in the veins?
It is said in Ayurveda that when Vata dosha (Air element imbalance) increases, the pathways of the body become clogged. Due to this, pain, stiffness in joints, blockage in nerves and fatigue of muscles are felt.
But the good news is that its solution is very easy. A simple 5-step process is described in Ayurveda. Follow it for just 20-25 minutes daily and you will feel the difference yourself – joints will become lighter, flexibility will return and the body will feel energetic again.
Step 1: Oil massage (giving affection) When Vata increases, the body becomes dry, hence oil is the biggest cure for it.
Heat the oil slightly and apply it on the painful area.
Massage in circular motion and always from bottom to top.
Massage each joint for at least 5 minutes.
This will not only reduce pain and stiffness, but will also provide a new peace inside.
Step 2: Hot Fermentation Soak a clean towel in hot water and squeeze it.
Keep it on the painful area for 5-7 minutes.
When the towel cools down, heat it again and repeat.
Due to this the blockage starts melting and the nerves start opening.
Just 10 minutes of compression relaxes your joints and nerves.
Step 3: Activate Marma Points
Ayurveda says that there are some vital energy points (marma points) in the body. Stimulating these opens the blockage in the veins and restarts the energy flow in the body. Two special points: Shipra Marma – between the thumb and index finger. Manibandh Marma – On the inner side of the wrist.
Do light circular massage on them for 2-3 minutes.
This small acupressure touch naturally frees your blocked veins.
Step 4: Nadi Shodhan Pranayam
When vata accumulates, not only the joints but also the flow of breath gets stuck.
The easiest way to open it is – Nadi Shodhana Pranayam. Sit with a straight spine.
Inhale through one nostril and exhale through the other, then switch.
Do this process for 5 minutes.
Due to this, the trapped air and energy of the body slowly starts dissolving and you will feel light.
Step 5: Always take a bath with hot water after completing the bath and diet process.
Avoid eating: curd, cold drinks, raw salad, cold water.
Include: Desi ghee, hot milk, khichdi, turmeric milk, warm water in the morning on an empty stomach.
Also do light exercise and stretching.
This will lubricate the joints from inside and improve the flow of veins.
outcome:
If you devote 20-25 minutes to this process daily, your joints will become light, flexible and energetic.
The body will feel free again – just like you felt years ago.
