Mumbai EOW has intensified investigation in the ₹60 crore fraud case against businessmen Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty. The agency will soon interrogate the CA of his company Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd to reveal the truth about the investment money and suspicious transactions.

Raj Kundra Shilpa Shetty EOW Fraud Case: The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police is going to interrogate the chartered accountant of businessman Raj Kundra in connection with the financial investigation. On the complaint of another businessman, EOW is preparing to intensify the investigation against Raj Kundra and actress Shilpa Shetty in the ₹60 crore fraud case.

According to sources, the EOW suspects that the chartered accountant may have handled or had knowledge of major financial transactions related to the case. The target of the investigators is to trace the money transactions and confirm the authenticity of some documents presented by Kundra’s companies.

Earlier, the EOW had recorded statements of four supports and employees related to Kundra’s business ventures. Officials said the chartered accountant’s statement can reveal many layers in understanding the flow of money and possible financial irregularities.

According to sources, the EOW will soon call the Chartered Accountant (CA) of his company, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, for questioning next week. Complete financial information related to the establishment of the company, expenses and payments made to employees will be sought from the CA. The objective of this inquiry by senior EOW officers is to find out the source of the money and to prove whether the money collected from investors was actually used for commercial purposes or not.

During two rounds of questioning, Raj Kundra reportedly claimed that the amount was spent on setting up the company, purchasing furniture and building a warehouse. However, EOW officials want to confirm these claims through the company’s CA. Sources have also indicated that Kundra may be called again for further questioning after the CA’s statement is recorded.

Investigators have found that Kundra allegedly spent unusually large sums of money on office furniture after collecting money from investors. The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) is also planning to interrogate the warehouse owner and landlord associated with the company.

Additionally, it has also been revealed that payments made to several actresses who appeared in Best Deal TV commercials were transferred directly into their bank accounts. However, officials said their statements would be recorded only when needed.
