Islamabad/New Delhi. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was beaten up by security personnel in Pakistan’s Punjab Assembly on Friday, 26 December. Not only this, the representatives accompanying the CM were also misbehaved, the video of which is going viral on social media. It can be seen in the video how Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is entering the Assembly with his MLAs. Meanwhile, the security personnel try to stop them.
Afridi said – Democracy is in danger in Pakistan
Sohail Afridi said, no democratic government can behave like this. This is clearly martial law like behaviour. Jamhooriyat (democracy) is in danger in Pakistan. Let us tell you that in the Assembly, the security personnel beat up Afridi MLA Fateh Ullah Burki and he was pushed out of the Assembly. However, he was released due to safety among the remaining people.

Punjab government is trying to scare the other party
Sohail Afridi said, I and the workers were treated very badly in Lahore. There is a government in Punjab which is intimidating another party. At many places our workers were beaten and misbehaved. Let us tell you that Afridi was beaten up outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi about a month ago, on 28th November, when he was sitting on a dharna to meet Imran Khan.
