A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in the Mahanagar police station area of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Where a 69-year-old elderly woman, Nirmala Devi, was brutally murdered in Nishatganj area.
The police have arrested the daughter-in-law of the deceased and her lover in this sensational case.
Hands and feet found tied in the house, grandson saw grandmother’s dead body The incident came to light around 4 pm on Saturday afternoon, when Nirmala Devi’s grandson reached home. He was shocked to see the sight of the room – his grandmother was lying dead and her hands and legs were tied. At the time of the incident, the deceased’s son was on duty, while daughter-in-law Ranjana and younger daughter were present in the house.
CCTV and sniffer dog spoiled the game The police found the case suspicious from the beginning. Investigation revealed that the CCTV camera of the house was deliberately switched off between 2 and 4 pm. When the police arrived with the sniffer dog, it stopped straight near Rajan Sharma (tenant) standing near the house. Rajan was roaming with the police and pretending to help in the investigation, but as soon as he saw the dog, he got scared and started chasing it away. This action turned the police’s suspicion into belief.
Illicit Relationships and Creepy Endings A shocking truth came to light during the interrogation. An affair was going on between daughter-in-law Ranjana and tenant Rajan Sharma. Mother-in-law Nirmala Devi was against this relationship and often interrupted both of them. To get her out of the way, the daughter-in-law and her lover took the opportunity on Saturday and strangulated Nirmala Devi to death.
