A thief who had come as a guest at a wedding ceremony in Jaipur stole the bride’s bag. The bag contained jewelery and cash worth about Rs 4 lakh. This entire incident was captured on video, on the basis of which the police is now searching for the accused.
Jaipur: During a wedding ceremony in Jaipur, Rajasthan, a thief posing as a guest stole the bride’s bag. The police have now started searching for that young man. The bag contained gold jewelery and cash worth about Rs 4 lakh. The incident took place on February 7 during Naveen Karol’s wedding reception at ‘Chandan One Marriage Garden’ in Jagatpura. At around 10:15 pm, when the bride and groom were posing for photos, the thief reached near the stage.
He was well dressed and was also holding a blazer in his hand, so no one suspected him. When the bride and groom were busy getting their photos clicked on the stage, the thief slowly climbed onto the stage and picked up the bride’s bag. Within a few moments he hid the bag inside his blazer and disappeared into the crowd. This entire incident was clearly captured in the video of the bride and groom’s photographer. When the bag was not found after the function, the family members started searching for it.
Later, when the video recording was examined, the real identity of the ‘guest’ was revealed. The groom’s brother Nitin Karol lodged a police complaint. Jaipur Police has said that with the help of video footage the accused has been identified and he will be arrested soon. The family is shocked that due to a moment’s carelessness the happiness of the marriage turned into sorrow.
