Amid the constant concern of the falling level of geological water in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday took a big decision in the high -level meeting of the irrigation department regarding water conservation. The Chief Minister said that scientific method will now be adopted in the renovation and modernization of state tube wells so that water misuse can be prevented and better irrigation facilities can be provided to the farmers.
“Dark zone areas will improve with water conservation”
The Chief Minister said that the rainy season is the most suitable time for water conservation. Efforts made on this occasion will help to keep the geological water level stable. He instructed the officials to make such a system of water conservation that can improve areas with dark zone and get relief from water crisis.

Review of major irrigation projects
In the meeting, the Chief Minister in detail the progress of major projects like Saryu Canal National Project, Baan Sagar and Madhya Ganga Yojana in detail. He said that effective implementation of these projects will open new doors to solve water problems in both the village and city areas.
Instructions to revive reserve wire
The Chief Minister asked to pay special attention to the problems of the farmers of Terai region. He directed that the reserve wire should be revived and revived so that more and more farmers can get irrigation facilities. Also, he stressed on taking measures to prevent cutting at the edges using silt.
Emphasis on transparency in modernization of tube wells
Chief Minister Yogi said that keeping in mind the needs of farmers, the renovation and modernization of tube wells should be done on priority basis. He clearly stated that there should be no compromise on quality and transparency in this work. Tubewells upgraded with modern technology will not only increase irrigation capacity, but will also reduce the cost of farmers.
“Agricultural production and farmers’ income will increase”
Yogi Adityanath said that the government aims to strengthen the farmers and make the state water-rich. He expressed confidence that the steps taken towards modernization of tube wells and steps taken towards water conservation will increase agricultural production and there will be a significant increase in farmers’ income. The Chief Minister also added that the administration of every district will now monitor water conservation and tube well management at its level, so that proper use of water in the state can be ensured.
