Great kratom matters for the reasons I’m going to explain to you in a moment. But you need to know more than just the names of the kratom brands to stay away from to make good buying decisions.
So I’m also going to explain to you how to spot a poor kratom brand, and tell you about the worst five brands out there, based on my own experiences and looking at overall user reviews online.
But don’t worry, there’s some good news here as well. I’m also going to talk to you about the best kratom companies.
I’ll go through the top three best kratom companies out there right now, and give you some product highlights so you can see why they are great place to buy kratom.

Why Quality Matters With Kratom
Quality matters with kratom. It’s the most important thing you need to worry about. Forget strains, forget vein colors, to get the format you would take the kratom in, it’s all secondary.
If it’s not rich in alkaloids, you won’t get a good experience. If it’s patchy quality, then the alkaloid intake will be patchy, giving you an uneven experience.
Whether you’re looking at buying kratom capsules, liquid shots, traditional powder, potent extracts, or more exotic super kratom, the main thing that matters is the richness and consistency of the alkaloids.
That means the kratom has to be imported from reputable sources, prepared properly, labelled properly, assessed for its potency, and stored well.
Kratom Brands To Stay Away From
Generally, the following are the sort of traits of the poor kratom seller that should set red lights flashing:
- Prices are too low or too high
- Purely profit motivated
- Not GMP certified
- Doesn’t advocate kratom regulation
- Doesn’t advocate responsible usage
- Website doesn’t contain good quality and accurate advice
- Existing or previous lawsuits, FDA warnings, or seizures
- No transparency on supply chain
With all those in mind, and my own experiences on trying these over the years, these are the five brands I always advocate that people steer clear of.
1. PurKratom
These guys are a big name in kratom. You may be a little surprised to see that I am not recommending them to you.
They do a good range of powders and capsules, as well as chewable gummies, and even potent liquid shots.
Hell, I even used to buy kratom from these guys myself. As I learned more about kratom, I realized that what they were selling wasn’t that good though. It’s quite generic, and what they bag up is not in my opinion what it says on the label.
White kratom is white kratom, red kratom is red kratom, and green kratom is green kratom. The different strains for me, aren’t there. It’s just generically bagged up and sold under different names to give you the illusion of choice.
2. OPMS Kratom – The Ultimate “Gas Station Kratom Brand”
OPMS are everywhere. Branded kratom sold by many online retailers, and general head shops online, as well as smoke shops and gas stations physically as well.
The problem with OPMS is price. It’s hideously expensive. A couple of capsules can set you back $20. That’s just ridiculous for a single kratom experience, even though the capsules are quite potent.
But compare the prices and the quality of the experience to that you’ll get from experimenting with smooth, rich kratom, from the best kratom companies online, and these gold kratom brand products (and the even worse black label products) just don’t cut it.
3. Blue Magic
I’m not going to say more about the actual retail kratom other than its really poor quality, generic, and not very good.
Just visiting the website blumagickratom.com should be enough of a warning to you. They claim they are “award-winning” but don’t tell you what award they allegedly won. Also, the images on the website are really poor quality. Stretched, pixelated, and blurry; this is not a company who gives a damn about the quality of even their website, let alone their kratom.
Blue Magic also do wholesale, under the name “Hundreds Premium LLC”. You can make wholesale enquiries through their main website, and a separate site “blue Magic sales”.
Blue Magic also make the new brand “KraDeine”, a new liquid kratom shot infused with syrup for sweetness. This same name is now being used for capsules as well, with the claim that they last 12 hours (which is nonsense).
Put that all together, and you’ve got a company making lots of generic kratom products which they are farming out at wholesale prices as often as they can, and under different brand names.
It all smells like poor quality kratom being spread far and wide, to get maximum wholesale sales, rather than focusing on developing a high quality retail brand.
4. Delta Extracts
Another company where a quick look at the website tells you everything you need to know. Stretched images, poor quality graphics, poor information, it just looks tacky.
The names of the kratom are all over the place, and alongside their own powdered kratom they sell 1836 kratom, a ridiculously poor quality brand with stupid names like “Irene’s good night”.
Alongside that, they sell “trippy mushroom gummies”, and other poorly labelled nonsense that tells you they are a generic head shop that will sell you literally anything, with many reports of low quality products and experiences.
5. Shamans Garden
Strange name, and a strange company. They’ve been around for years, and do sell a range of kratom that people sometimes recommend. I believe that’s because it was one of the few around at the time.
They don’t sell much kratom now anyway, only eight types of loose powder kratom.
To give you an example of why they are dubious, they sell white Maeng Da powder with an alkaloid content “of at least 1.4%”. Let me tell you, that’s ridiculously low. It should be closer to 2.5%, or even higher to be reasonably labelled as Maeng Da (“pimp grade”).
How To Spot Good Kratom Vendor
Now I’ve highlighted some of the worst kratom sellers out there, including the kratom kaps brand OPMS (the gold kratom brand), I want to talk about the best kratom companies.
Forget gas station kratom brands, none of them are worth buying locally there are a head shops either. The only place you can get a good kratom product is buying online from high quality specialist retailers. These will have the following traits:
- Not purely profit motivated
- Support kratom regulation
- GMP certification
- Transparent supply chain
- Good user reviews & obvious passion
- Good knowledge demonstrated and information provided
Let’s now take a look at the three best kratom companies I know of, so that you can make a better choice on experimenting with kratom.
1. Kona Kratom – Best Kratom Vendor Overall
If you want a great, classic, kratom seller, then I’d advise you take a look at ordering from Kona kratom.
They do a good range of white kratom, better than a lot of other companies, including white Malay, white Elephant, and white Dragon kratom.
The powder is really rich and packed with alkaloids as well. The same powder is in the capsules, and those average 600 mg of Mitragynine per capsule.

2. MIT45 Liquid Kratom – Best Liquid Kratom Shots
MIT45 make They make five of them, all with increasing strengths. But what I love most is that they are affordable for what you get.
These are not just kratom shots, they are liquid kratom extract shots. That means the kratom is boiled down, and it’s then filtered and strained. Then the rich liquid is used as the base for flavoring, giving it a far higher kratom alkaloids content then you would get normally.
A great starting point is Super K. It contains 500 mg of Mitragynine extract per bottle (note extract, not Mitragynine). Although it’s billed as a shop, the company actually recommend you use half the bottle with a little water because it’s so potent.

3.Kratora Kratom
Kratora have been around for nearly 20 years, providing high quality kratom in the USA. They started off just selling powder, but then started producing their own capsules, potent liquid shots, and powdered extract products as well. The extract products are the most potent you will find anywhere.
The quality is exceptional. You really won’t find better. The range is wide, although not quite the widest I know.
The capsules are fairly priced, and not much more expensive than the powder, which is great to see as they used to be far more expensive.
I also love the fact that they help beginners. There’s an “new users” menu item, that contains links to the best products, FAQs, user guides, and basics about kratom.
If you’re looking to get started, then red vein Kali kratom is a very rich and classic red kratom, that is very affordable and slightly different in its experience.
Plus, they do fantastic variety packs. If you’re a beginner, those are the best starting point you will find for experimenting with kratom at a fair price.
