Porsche has come up with another special edition of the Taycan. This time is a very imaginative “Black Edition” car. There are no points for guessing what the trim pieces are painted in but there are quite a few more options bundled into the package. The Black Edition cars are available with either the base rear-wheel-drive version of the 4S models.
The most notable addition is the 1.05 kWh battery as standard which is a $5,780 option over the regular 97 kWh battery. Additionally, it also gets 21-inch wheels, metallic paint, decals, Sport design front and rear bumpers, 14-way adjustable seats, blind view monitoring, HD Matrix LEDs, Active Park Assist, Bose surround system, and puddle lamps.
On the inside there are some very cool trim pieces as well like the Porsche crest on the headrests, black edition door sills and black edition logo embossed on the centre console. One can have even more options equipped in it but you will have to pay extra.
This is also not the first time that the Black Edition has been launched. Earlier Porsche had these editions for the 911 and the Cayman models and recently they came out with the Platinum Edition Cayenne and Panamera. All of them have a better equipment list which are more value for money than individually optioning them.
Prices for the Taycan Black Edition have not been revealed yet but we expect it be a little more expensive than a base model. It will be however cheaper than a car you will option out individually.
