GOAT OTT Rights: GOAT aka Greatest Of All Time is one of the highly-anticipated movies of the year 2024. In the movie, Vijay takes on dual roles and leads a diverse ensemble cast.
This includes actors such as Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Parvati Nair, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Ameer, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raj.
For fans of Thalapathy Vijay, ‘The Greatest of All Time’ holds special significance as it is anticipated to mark one of the last films in his illustrious career. Earlier in the year, Vijay startled the Indian film fraternity with the announcement of his impending retirement from acting after wrapping up his upcoming project, provisionally titled ‘Thalapathy 69’. This decision stems from his commitment to channel all efforts towards the establishment and growth of his political party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam.

According to a report by OTT Play, the OTT rights have been bought by streaming giant Netflix. The official confirmation regarding the same is still awaited. It’s been reported that Netflix secured the streaming rights for a staggering ₹125 crore (equivalent to US$16 million). The film is slated for release in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
About GOAT
The movie project was unveiled in May 2023, initially titled as “Thalapathy 68” to signify its place as Vijay’s 68th starring role. However, the official title was revealed later in December 2023. Filming officially kicked off in October 2023. Currently, the shooting is progressing in intermittent stages, taking place at various locations including Chennai, Thailand, Hyderabad, and Pondicherry.
The film’s soundtrack will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while Siddhartha Nuni is responsible for cinematography, and editing duties will be handled by Venkat Raajen.
