Thalapathy Vijay’s 2023 film Warisu was a family action drama directed by Vamshi Paidipally. He co-wrote the script of the film with Hari, Ashishor Solomon and Vivek Velmurugan. The film was produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema. The film also stars Vijay along with Rashmika Mandanna, R Sarathkumar, Shaam, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Jayasudha, Sangeeta, Samyukta Shanmughanadhan, Nandini Rai, Yogi Babu, Ganesh Venkataraman and Suman. The budget of the movie was 180 crores and it did a business of 303 crores.
