The viral clip, widely shared across social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube, features Lek Chailert serenading two elephants at the sanctuary. As she sings a gentle tune, the elephants are seen vocalising in response, seemingly joining her in a harmonious chorus. Lek Chailert has described these as her “best moments,” emphasising how much the elephants enjoy being sung to and how they appear happy and relaxed, sometimes even joining in. The video has garnered over 141,000 views and countless heartfelt comments, with many viewers calling it “pure magic” and praising the visible love and trust.
Lek Chailert, a renowned conservationist, has long advocated for the ethical treatment of elephants. Her message, resonating deeply with viewers, underscores that elephants’ basic needs-safety, food, and happiness-are not so different from humans’.
