The Tesla model Y in India comes only in the RWD (rear-wheel-drive) configuration. Its standard RWD variant is priced at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Long Range RWD variant is available in Rs 67.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It is worth noting that Tesla’s prices in India are much higher than the global market, as these are fully imported CBU units on which are heavy tax and duty.
Tesla Model Y: Range and Performance
The Tesla model in India comes in two variants. The standard RWD variant can run up to 500 km once charged, 0 to 100 kmph speeds in just 5.9 seconds and its top speed is 201 km per hour. At the same time, the range of Long Range RWD variants is up to 622 km, which holds a speed of 0 to 100 kmph in 5.6 seconds and its top speed is also 201 km per hour. The special thing is that the standard model can get a range of 238 km in just 15 minutes from fast charging and 267 km to the long range model.
