Tesla have lowered Cybertruck price but only for a short time

New Delhi: Tesla recently brought a new and cheaper trim of the Cybertruck. Priced at $61,985, it is the cheapest Cybertruck to date and packs two electric motors with all-wheel drive. However, this will be a short-lived situation for the Cybertruck.

According to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, this ultra-affordable Cybertruck might be around for just a few days. In a post on X, Musk mentioned that this pricing was going to last for just 10 days. How the pricing goes after that is unclear for now. Tesla’s website notes that the new dual-motor has a range of 523 km, and does 0-100 kph in just 4.1 seconds. It has a towing capacity of 3402 kgs and 909 kgs of payload capacity when coming with the 18-inch wheels.

Options include Full Self-Drive (Supervised) for $99 per month, and the 20-inch Core wheels cost an extra $2,500. There is also a Terrestrial Armour package, which adds underbody protection and heavy-duty rock sliders, for an extra of $3,000.

The new trim is by $20,000 cheaper than the Premium model, which also has two motors. The mid-package, however, comes with higher towing and payload ratings, which is 4989 kgs and 1133 kgs, respectively.

Tesla have also lowered the price of Cyberbeast by $15,000 to $101,985. The Cyberbeast has got three electric motors and can do 0-100 kphj in 2.6 seconds. The brand had raised the model’s price by $15,000 last August. The Tesla Cybertruck wasn’t as big as the automaker had imagined, with the truck coming above the promised $40,000.

While Musk has said the customer response at this pricing will determine if the pricing will stay at this rate. Though boosting the sales number of a struggling model has to be more than just 10 days.
