Before the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the NDA tussle over seat sharing is fast. The partners are unhappy with the proposal of Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha seats. BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan is meeting the two leaders to maintain the unity of the coalition.
Patna: As soon as the Bihar assembly elections are 2025 close, the political movement has intensified due to seat sharing within the NDA. On Sunday, amidst this political tension in Patna, BJP (BJP) top leader and Bihar election in -charge Dharmendra Pradhan held a rage. He first met Jitan Ram Manjhi, the patron of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Hum) and then reached the residence of Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) leader Upendra Kushwaha. The purpose of this long conversation with the two leaders was the same, calming the resentment of colleagues over seat sharing.
Manjhi’s resentment came out openly
According to sources, Jitan Ram Manjhi is dissatisfied with the distribution of some seats. He raised his resentment in front of Dharmendra Pradhan and Deputy Chief Minister Emperor Chaudhary. Manjhi says that his party’s base is strong in many areas, but he has been given “symbolic” stake in the BJP’s initial list. In the meeting, Manjhi made it clear that “we are no shadow, partners”, and the party should get its respectable place. The BJP assured him that his objections would be seriously considered in the final phase seat distribution list.
Upendra Kushwaha also dissatisfied with seat sharing
RLJP leader Upendra Kushwaha’s residence was the next stop of Dharmendra Pradhan. There too the discussion about seats lasted long. Sources reveal that Kushwaha is also not happy with the BJP’s current proposal. He said that giving only some limited seats to his party would be “political injustice”, while he has strong cadre and ethnic equations in many districts. BJP’s National General Secretary Rituraj Singh was also present in this meeting and he assured the colleagues that the party would take a decision keeping in mind the “political strength and ground reality of every party”.
Keeping solidarity a challenge for BJP
This tussle within the NDA has become a matter of concern for the BJP. Party strategists believe that “solidarity of coalition” in a state with complex social and ethnic equations like Bihar is the key to electoral success. Therefore, the BJP does not want the resentment of any allies to give a negative message among the public about the seats. These meetings of Dharmendra Pradhan are considered part of the mission of keeping both Manjhi and Kushwaha together and maintaining coordination in the alliance.
Trying to give a message of solidarity among the public
The BJP leadership is emphasizing that the image of any kind of tussle within the NDA should not go among the public. Therefore, the party has decided that after the seat sharing, there will be a joint press conference of leaders of all allies, giving the message of “strength and unity” of the coalition. BJP sources say that “If the alliance remains united, the NDA will form the government with a two -thirds majority.”
