Temperatures to rise in Telangana from March 26; IMD issues orange alert

Hyderabad is set to experience heat wave like conditions over the next four days as temperatures rise across the city and the state.

Temperatures will be high in North, East Telangana in districts like Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagitial, Mancherial, Mulugu, Bhadradri, Khammam, Mahabubabad districts, which will likely record 39-41°C today, Independent weather blogger T Balaji said.

Due to high heat, scattered thunderstorms are also likely in Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Rangareddy, Narayanpet, Adilabad, Asifabad during evening hours.

IMD issues thunderstorm alert:

IMD issued an orange alert along with a thunderstorm alert for several districts on Thursday, March 26. Yellow alert has been issued for many districts till March 31.

Five-day maximum temperatures forecast by IMD hover at 41-44 degrees Celsius for Adilabad, Jogulamba Gadwal, Komarambheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Wanaparthy districts.

Similar weather conditions are expected to prevail in the neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh, IMD said.
