Two-year-old toddler smothered to death:

Whenever an argument arose, Nagamani would leave to stay at her parents’ home for a while before returning. He brought his wife, who had gone to her parents’ home and their child back home 20 days ago.

However, Nithyashree had grown deeply attached to her grandfather, Mallayya. Meanwhile, conflicts between the couple began to escalate once again.

Nagamani informed her father about this situation, who traveled to Hanmapuram to take his daughter back to his own home. Sriramulu was displeased with the idea of sending his wife and daughter away with Mallayya. At that moment, Nithyashree sat on the lap of her grandfather, who had just arrived at the house.

Enraged by this, Sriramulu took Nithyashree on his motorcycle to a pond located on the outskirts of the village and smothered her to death by forcibly covering her mouth and nose. Thereafter, he surrendered to the police.

Acting on a complaint filed by Nithyashree’s grandfather, Kutla Mallayya, the police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
