In the press conference, Tejashwi Yadav accused NDA of not bringing development in 20 years. He said that the people are suffering from unemployment and migration and want change. Yadav expressed full confidence in forming the grand alliance government.
Patna: A day before the voting for the second phase of Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav held a press conference in the capital Patna and made several serious allegations against the ruling NDA. Tejashwi claimed that the public wants change in this election and there is every possibility of forming a grand alliance government. He said that he has held 171 rallies so far and he has clearly seen the support of the people in every district, every block.
People are in the mood for change: Tejashwi
Tejashwi Yadav said that Bihar did not get the expected development in the last 20 years. According to him, unemployment, migration, lack of industries and weak condition of health and education in the state have disappointed the people. He said, “The people of Bihar now want change. Wherever we went, the voice of the people was the same that this time they want a government with employment.” Tejashwi claimed that if the Grand Alliance comes to power, schemes will be implemented to provide employment to youth, support to farmers and economic empowerment of women.
Families scattered on Holi-Chhath will now stay together
Tejashwi laid special emphasis on the issue of migration. He said that due to lack of employment, lakhs of youth are forced to work outside the cities, due to which families are able to meet only during festivals in the year. He said, “People want the family to stay together throughout their life, not just on Holi-Chhath. Employment should be found in Bihar only, this is the real spirit of this election.”
Comment on Prime Minister
Tejashwi Yadav also raised questions on the speeches of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the Prime Minister did not give a clear development roadmap for Bihar. He said, “The Prime Minister is talking different things, singing different songs. I don’t understand which series he is watching. People want solutions, not election poems.”
Questions also raised on Election Commission and security forces
Tejashwi claimed that questions have been raised on transparency related to voting in many places. He said that a large number of security forces have been deployed from outside states, most of which are from BJP ruled states. He asked, “Why were companies not called from nearby states like Jharkhand, Bengal and Tamil Nadu? This question is also in the minds of the public.”
Promise of financial assistance to women
Tejashwi said that as soon as the Grand Alliance government is formed, financial assistance of Rs 30,000 will be given in the accounts of the women of the state on the day of Makar Sankranti. He said that this scheme is aimed at making women self-reliant and strengthening the economic condition of the family.
