Tejashwi Yadav has promised Jeevika Didis a permanent job and a salary of ₹ 30,000 if the government is formed. Besides, it was also announced to give ₹2,500 monthly salary to women and to make contract workers permanent.
Patna: The most talked about thing in the politics of Bihar at this time is the new announcement of Tejashwi Yadav. In the election season, he has made such an announcement which has given new hope to every Jeevika Didi. In a press conference held in Patna, Tejashwi Yadav said that if the Grand Alliance government is formed, then lakhs of Jeevika Didis of the state will be given government status, permanent jobs and a salary of ₹ 30,000 every month.
Tejashwi said that the injustice being done to Jeevika Didis will be ended as soon as the government is formed. He said, “The women who work for the government in every village suffer the most exploitation. Now they will get the right to their hard work. Jeevika Didi will now be government not only in name but also in work.”
Announcement of interest-free loan and loan waiver
Tejashwi Yadav clearly said that now Jeevika Didis will not have to pay interest on the loan. “The interest on the loans of the didis of Jeevika Group will be waived off. And henceforth they will be given interest-free loans, so that they can become self-reliant and create employment in their villages.” Along with this, he said that the chairperson and treasurer of Jeevika Group will also get honorarium.
Economic empowerment of women through ‘Mai-Bahan Maan Yojana’
Tejashwi Yadav also talked about ‘Mai-Behan Maan Yojana’ for women. Under this scheme, women will be given ₹ 2,500 every month i.e. ₹ 30,000 annually. This amount will reach ₹1.5 lakh in five years. “The mothers and sisters of Bihar will no longer have to depend on anyone for their family’s needs. This money will be a symbol of their self-respect and financial freedom.”
‘Maa Yojana’ and income plan from the birth of a daughter
Tejashwi Yadav said that his government will provide permanent houses, food grains and regular income to women from poor families. “We will bring ‘Maa Yojana’, give a home to every mother, education to every daughter and respect to every didi.” Along with this, he also announced ‘Beti Income Yojana’, under which the government will make arrangements from the birth of the daughter till her education and employment. “When the daughter is born, the government will take responsibility for her from the very day she is born. We will provide her the path to education, job and self-reliance.”
Contract workers will also get permanent status
On this occasion, Tejashwi Yadav also talked about the problems of contract workers. He said that thousands of contract employees in Bihar have been working on temporary basis for years but they neither have job security nor fixed salary. “As soon as the government is formed, we will make all the contract workers permanent. No one’s exploitation will be tolerated. Now no employee will be thrown out without any reason.”
