Before Bihar elections 2025, Tej Pratap Yadav has formed a new party ‘Janshakti Janata Dal’. Breaking away from RJD, this party will release the first list of candidates on October 8. Its aim is to become the third option in Bihar.
Patna: As Bihar Assembly elections 2025 are coming closer, the politics of the state is getting hotter day by day. Now, not only RLSP, JDU or Congress, Tej Pratap Yadav’s new party ‘Janshakti Janata Dal’ (JJD) from within the Lalu family is also ready to enter the fray. Tej Pratap has announced that his party will release the list of its first phase candidates on October 8.
RJD is now an old thing, new era of new thinking
Janashakti Janata Dal president Tej Pratap Yadav said in Patna, “Now RJD is a thing of the past. How will people have trust in a party where the voice of the youth is suppressed? Janashakti Janata Dal is now the voice of real socialism.” Tej Pratap said that his party will give tickets to those faces who are honest, connected to the public and active at the grassroots level. He also said in a few gestures that “Janshakti Janata Dal will not run under any pressure, but will open a new chapter in the politics of Bihar as a third option.”
tejasvi vs tej pratap
The ongoing tussle between Lalu Yadav’s two sons has now almost turned into an open fight. While Tejashwi Yadav is busy in his “Bihar Adhikar Yatra” as the face of the Grand Alliance, Tej Pratap is seen walking on his independent path. The political paths of both have now completely diverged. Tej Pratap has already said many times, ‘I will not be anyone’s shadow, I will be the sun myself.’ Uneasiness has increased within RJD regarding this statement. According to sources, some old RJD leaders and local workers are preparing to join Tej Pratap’s new party.
First list of candidates on October 8
Tej Pratap Yadav has announced that on October 8, the first list of candidates of Janashakti Janata Dal will be released at Shri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna. According to sources, this list will include the names of candidates from about 40 assembly seats, most of whom will be from Mithilanchal, Magadh and Seemanchal regions. Tej Pratap Yadav himself can contest from Mahua or Hasanpur seat, while his close supporters will contest from some key seats of Patna, Samastipur and Darbhanga.
JJD’s focus – youth, employment and religion-culture
The manifesto of Tej Pratap’s party will focus on three main issues: youth and employment generation, promotion of agriculture and small industries, respect for religious-cultural identity. Tej Pratap said that his aim is to take politics in an ideal and spiritual direction. He said, “We will neither do caste nor family politics. Every candidate of Janashakti Janata Dal will come from among the people.”
