After expulsion from RJD, Tej Pratap Yadav visited Raghopur and distributed relief material among the flood affected people. At the same time, he gave a political message targeting his brother and MLA Tejashwi Yadav in gestures.
Patna: After being expelled from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Tej Pratap Yadav is constantly visiting the districts and increasing political and social activism. In this sequence, he visited Raghopur, his younger brother and Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly, Raghopur today. Tej Pratap extended help by distributing relief materials in flood affected areas, but also gave the message of politics.
Tej Pratap among flood victims
After reaching by boat in Diara area of Raghopur, Tej Pratap distributed drought ration, medicines and essential goods to the victims. He said that people here are suffering from floods and are calling for help, but no concrete steps were taken by the government. We have come to help them. We are accompanied by a team of doctors who exist to provide medical services.
Target on Tejashwi too
During the relief work, Tej Pratap also targeted his brother and current MLA Tejashwi Yadav in gestures. He said that the MLA here should take time out and come here, know the condition of the people, consider their sorrow and pain. This will not be done by staying busy in the family. Tej Pratap’s comment is considered politically important. This gesture was clearly focused on Tejashwi, who is an MLA from Raghopur twice.
Is this help or politics?
The nature of Tej Pratap’s visit is of relief work, but political experts believe that this step is also a strong message. Tej Pratap is exploring his support base after expulsion from RJD. Their presence among the flood affected is presenting him as a sensitive and public service leader. At the same time, this step is also considered an attempt to strengthen their political existence.
Election equation of Raghopur seat
Raghopur assembly constituency is one of the important seats in Bihar. Its constituency number is 128 and it comes under Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency. This seat is unreserved and is mainly active RJD, JDU, BJP and Congress. On the basis of ethnic basis, this area is Yadav -dominated, there are 31% Yadav community, 18% Scheduled Castes, 3% Muslim voters.
Raghopur is occupied by Tejashwi Yadav twice, and is seen as his political stronghold. In such a situation, reaching Tej Pratap here can create a stir in the electoral equation. Experts say that if Tej Pratap is constantly active here, it can increase the possibility of political conflict between brothers in the upcoming elections.
