Government approves theme based center of excellence
The Government of Uttar Pradesh has approved Centers of Excellence based on various advanced areas. These centers are working in cutting-edge areas like Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, MedTech, Telecom, Drones, Additive Manufacturing and Automotive Technology. The government believes that the youth trained in these areas will create world class startups and make the state a major center of new employment.
Startups are getting modern facilities
The Center of Excellence is providing key facilities like high-end lab, co-working space, research support, product testing and expert mentorship to the selected product-based startups. Its objective is to ensure that no talented youth is held back due to lack of resources. These centers are creating a strong base not only for technology but also for employment and innovation.
Strong financial structure and self-reliant model
The government has created a strong framework of financial support for these Centers of Excellence. Funding is available for all phases, from capital expenditure to operations. As per the government model, a strong foundation will be created by providing support to these centers for the first five years. After that, these centers will be able to become self-reliant with the help of their innovations and industry partnerships.

According to IT and startup sector consultant Sunil Gupta, the impact of the Center of Excellence is not limited to just technical areas. They are also developing technology-based solutions for social sectors like health, agriculture, education and sanitation. The youth of small towns are also getting world class facilities in their own state.
