Air India Flight Emergency Landing: Air India flight AI887 going from Delhi to Mumbai had to return to Delhi just minutes after take-off in the early hours of Monday. The oil pressure in the right engine (Engine No 2) of the aircraft suddenly dropped to zero, due to which the crew immediately decided to return the aircraft following safety protocols. According to reports, the flight took off from Indira Gandhi International Airport at 3:20 am. After a technical glitch, the flight landed safely in Delhi and all passengers and crew ejected normally. No one got hurt.

An Air India spokesperson said, ‘The crew of flight AI887 observed a technical problem while en route from Delhi to Mumbai and returned the flight in view of safety. All passengers and crew are safe. The aircraft will be brought back into service only after a thorough inspection. In view of this, Air India has immediately started technical investigation and ensured that the aircraft takes off only after it is completely safe.

Air India said that the ground staff at Delhi airport immediately helped the passengers and gave them options for alternative flights to Mumbai. Has also apologized for this. He said, safety of passengers is our priority.
