15 leading companies from Africa, Asia, Europe and North America have announced the formation of Trusted Tech Alliance (TTA). It is a group of like-minded global technology providers. Who have come together to develop trusted and verified standards for a technology stack spanning connectivity, cloud infrastructure, semiconductors, software and artificial intelligence. Jio Platforms is included in the alliance from India. This alliance was announced during the Munich Security Conference held in Germany. The founding members of the Alliance include a total of 15 global tech companies like Amazon, Web Services, Microsoft, Google Cloud, Ericsson, Nokia, SAP and NTT. The Alliance has indicated that more companies will be added to it in the future and work will continue towards strengthening technological sovereignty, competitiveness and flexible digital infrastructure at the national and international level.

On the occasion of the launch, Jio Platforms CEO Kiran Thomas said that reliable, secure and transparent technology is necessary to accelerate digital development at the global level. Jio Platforms is proud to join the Trusted Tech Alliance to advance common standards and verifiable practices across the technology stack. Through this initiative, we want to work with global partners to build long-term trust in next-generation connectivity, cloud and AI systems. Microsoft Vice Chair and President Brad Smith said that in the current global environment, it is important for like-minded companies to come together to maintain trust and high standards in technology across borders. Ericsson CEO Borye Ekholm said that no single company or country can create a secure and reliable digital infrastructure alone; global cooperation is essential for this.
Agree on five principles
Under the Alliance, the member companies have agreed on five major principles. These include transparent corporate governance and ethical conduct, secure development processes and independent evaluation, strong supply chains and security oversight, fostering an open, collaborative and resilient digital ecosystem, and respect for data security along with the rule of law. Through these principles, companies will ensure that technology operates safely, reliably and responsibly, no matter where it is developed or used. Experts believe that Jio’s participation will give India an opportunity to play an active role in the creation of global digital standards. With this, cloud, 5G and AI based services in the country can get international level credibility and customer confidence regarding data security can be further strengthened.
