India A vs South Africa A: In the second unofficial Test match being played at the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru, India A made a wonderful comeback and took a lead of 34 runs over South Africa A. Prasidh Krishna proved to be the most successful bowler of the team, taking 3 wickets in the first innings. On the strength of this right-arm fast bowler, India all out South Africa A for 221 runs. Marcus Ackerman scored the maximum 134 runs for South Africa-A but apart from the captain, no batsman could perform well. South Africa’s Test captain Temba Bavuma was out on the very first ball, he could not even open his account.
Krishna wreaks havoc on South Africa
After India A was all out for 255 runs in the first innings, it seemed that the visiting team would take a big lead but exactly the opposite happened. Akashdeep and Siraj dismissed Zubair Hamza and Lesigo Senokwane. Teba Bavuma became the victim of Akashdeep on the first ball. After this, in the middle overs, Prasidh Krishna dismissed Jordan Harman for 26 runs. Prasidh Krishna did not even allow wicketkeeper Connor to open the account and then by dismissing Okhule Seele, he destroyed the innings of South Africa-A. Interestingly, Team India has not selected Prasidh Krishna in the team for the two-Test series against South Africa.
A matter of concern for Team India
India-A bowlers have performed well but there is also a matter of concern for Team India. Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav also bowled very bad balls in this match. Kuldeep gave away 66 runs in 11 overs. Whereas Siraj gave 61 runs in 12 overs. Mohammad Siraj is especially a matter of great concern because Marcus Ackermann took this player to task. During his century, Ackerman hit 24 runs in one over off Mohammed Siraj. Now it remains to be seen how he plays in the test match against South Africa.
