job in tcs
TCS has made a big announcement amid the retrenchment controversy that it will create 5,000 new jobs in the United Kingdom in the next three years. This will further strengthen Britain’s economy. The company has also started an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Experience Zone and Design Studio in London, which will promote innovation and working closely with customers. TCS has been helping in digital transformation in UK for the last 50 years and currently this company is providing about 42,000 jobs there directly or indirectly. The new center in London is modeled after TCS’ Passport Centers and its recently opened design studio in New York.
This center will work with universities, startups and big industry leaders to promote AI in the UK. Britain’s Investment Minister Jason Stockwood praised TCS and said that Tata Group has been a leader in entrepreneurship and social service for almost 150 years. Now as we celebrate the Prime Minister’s visit to India, we have reiterated our promise to fulfill the trade agreement signed in July. Companies like TCS are important in this mission, which will provide jobs, bring money into people’s pockets and boost the economy of both the countries.
TCS’s contribution to UK
During the visit of British PM Keir Starmer’s business delegation to TCS’s Banyan Park campus in Mumbai, Stockwood launched a report by Oxford Economics in collaboration with TCS leadership. It was told in this report that in 2024, TCS will contribute 3.3 billion pounds to the UK economy. Raised more than £780 million in tax, equivalent to the salaries of approximately 20,400 teachers, and supported 42,700 jobs at 19 UK sites.
This includes 15,300 technical jobs such as engineering and data analytics, which are helping to bridge the UK’s skills gap. PAC analyst Nick Mayes said that this new investment by TCS further strengthens its position as the leader of digital services in the UK. It supports large programs across multiple industries and will now help its customers harness the full power of AI.
