Now TCS is going to increase salary
India’s legendary IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has given a good news for the employees. Shortly before, the company announced the layoffs of about 12,000 employees, but now it has announced to increase the salary of its 80% of its employees.
In an official email sent by the company to the employees, it was told that the increase in salary will be applicable from 1 September 2025. The company thanked the employees in this official email and said, “We want to thank you for the dedication and hard work of all of you, because we are together making the future of TCS.”
Junior and mid-level employees will benefit
This increase will be given to employees of junior and mid-level. TCS has taken this decision at a time when the company recently started the process of removing several senior and medium level employees. Giving information to PTI, the company said, “We can confirm that we will release the salary of about 80 percent of our employees from 1 September 2025.”
The company had trimmed big some time ago
If we look at the decision to lay off, TCS took this step so that it can make himself more capable for the future. The company says that it is giving a new look to its organization, in which important aspects like AI, investment in new techniques, market expansion and change in workforce are being worked on important aspects. The TCS also clarified that the layoffs were mainly at moderate and senior levels, while it has had little impact on junior level employees.
Reduction in growth of IT companies in the first quarter
Talking about the financial situation, TCS and other major IT companies did not see much growth in the first quarter of FY 2026. This time has been very challenging for him. Problems such as unstable markets, global tension and delay in decisions by clients affected revenue.
