TCS and Bharti Airtel got a shock, market cap decreased so much in a week

The market cap of seven of the top 10 most valuable Sensex companies collectively declined by Rs 88,635.28 crore last week. The biggest losers were Bharti Airtel and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Last week, on November 5, the stock market was closed on Guru Nanak Jayanti. During the week, the 30-share BSE Sensex fell 722.43 points or 0.86 percent. Whereas the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty fell by 229.8 points or 0.89 percent.

In the last week, the market valuations of Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), ICICI Bank, Infosys and Hindustan Unilever have declined. At the same time, the market position of State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has increased. During the week, the market cap of Bharti Airtel has declined by Rs 30,506.26 crore to Rs 11,41,048.30 crore. The market cap of TCS has fallen by Rs 23,680.38 crore to Rs 10,82,658.42 crore.

The value of Hindustan Unilever declined by Rs 12,253.12 crore to Rs 5,67,308.81 crore and the valuation of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 11,164.29 crore to Rs 20,00,437.77 crore. At the same time, the market capitalization of HDFC Bank declined by Rs 7,303.93 crore to Rs 15,11,375.21 crore. Infosys’ valuation has declined by Rs 2,139.52 crore to Rs 6,13,750.48 crore. Also, the market cap of ICICI Bank decreased by Rs 1,587.78 crore to Rs 9,59,540.08 crore. Due to the turmoil in the stock market last week, the market cap of big companies has declined.

Contrary to this trend, the market cap of LIC increased by Rs 18,469 crore to reach Rs 5,84,366.54 crore. The market valuation of State Bank of India increased by Rs 17,492.02 crore to Rs 8,82,400.89 crore and the market valuation of Bajaj Finance increased by Rs 14,965.08 crore to Rs 6,63,721.32 crore. Reliance Industries remained at first position in the list of top 10 companies. After this, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, TCS, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance, Infosys, LIC and Hindustan Unilever have been ranked.
