TeaIn Hyderabad, the capital of Langana, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a woman deputy state tax officer red -handed taking a bribe of Rs 8000. But the embarrassing picture of the officer with this minor amount became the Nazir of Jalalt on social media.
On Tuesday, July 8, the accused woman officer M Sudha posted in Madhapur was caught by ACB. It is alleged that at that time she was asking for a bribe from a businessman in lieu of passing the file of GST registration. As soon as the bribe amount was taken, ACB caught Dhar. But the real spectacle took place when the picture was prepared for the media after the arrest.
ACB officials spread the recovered 500-500 rupee notes in such a way that Sehra is decorated on the groom’s head in the procession. The face of the accused officer sitting with the ‘Sehra’ of bribe notes was bowed with shame, as if he was regretting her handiwork herself.
Such a picture was captured from notes and three bottles placed on the table in front that became a ugly example of corruption. People on social media are giving their response by looking at this picture.
A user named Soumya Rani wrote,
“These are just 8,000 rupees. He is a state tax officer. It is very high for him. Generally such officers take bribe in millions.”
However, a user named Somina Ganesh questioned this picture. they wrote,
“The ACB team is my personal opinion that such posts and photos are not needed. As a department representing the government, it is not civilized to condemn those who publicly misunderstood. It depends on the law and your authorities to decide the method of action. But it can also be given a chance to improve.”
Earlier on July 7, the ACB officials arrested the deputy tehsildar for demanding a bribe of one lakh rupees from the complainant. Sheikh Javed was working on deputation in the Civil Supplies Department. He sought a bribe of one lakh rupees from the complainant to issue the Panchnama report of three seized vehicles.
ACB has appealed to the common people that if a government employee asks for bribe, call 1064 or file a complaint on WhatsApp number 9440446106. The identity of the complainant will be kept confidential.
