New Delhi: Tata Motors is preparing to bring back one of its most iconic SUVs, the Tata Sierra. The company will reintroduce the Sierra in a new, modern avatar, but its design will still retain the familiar boxy character that made the original model special. Recently, Tata also shared a teaser post showing a quiet exterior of the SUV.
However, this small glimpse has already created a buzz among car fans, and many are excited to see how Tata will show up with their nostalgic Sierra, featuring new-age styling. Tata aims to position the Sierra in the premium SUV category, where buyers look for unique design, modern features and a strong road presence.

Tata Motors is bringing back the Sierra SUV with a fresh yet familiar design. The new model keeps the classic boxy shape of the old Sierra but adds modern touches like a full-width LED light bar at the front and bold “Sierra” lettering. The SUV also gets big alloy wheels, wide fenders, and clean-looking flush door handles. Vertically stacked fog lamps on the bumper give it a sharper look.
Tata Sierra: Price and availability
The Tata Sierra will first launch with petrol and diesel engines on 25 November 2025, followed later by an all-electric version. As for the price, the Sierra is expected to start between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
