Tata Motors has announced the rollout of factory-fitted air conditioning systems across its entire truck portfolio in India, including its cowl models, a first for the brand.
The update spans the SFC, LPT, Ultra, Signa, and Prima series, aimed at improving driver comfort and boosting fleet efficiency.The newly introduced AC systems come with dual-mode settings, Eco and Heavy, designed to optimise cooling while managing energy use. Alongside the comfort upgrade, Tata Motors has also enhanced the power output of its heavy-duty trucks, tippers, and prime movers to 320 hp.In a bid to improve fuel economy and operational performance, the updated trucks also feature automatic engine idle shut-off and a voice alert system for real-time driver notifications.According to Rajesh Kaul, Vice President and Business Head – Trucks, the upgrades are the result of customer feedback and are intended to boost driver productivity without significantly impacting total ownership costs.The company continues to support its commercial vehicle customers through a nationwide network of over 3,000 service points and its Sampoorna Seva 2.0 programme, which covers maintenance, roadside assistance, and spares. Tata Motors’ connected vehicle platform, Fleet Edge, further aids fleet operators with real-time tracking and management tools.
