A Rs 3.35 lakh discount on an electric SUV sounds difficult to ignore, and that is what Tata is offering on select Curvv EVs in October. The catch is that the full benefit is not on the current SeriesX range. It applies to older pre-SeriesX inventory that dealers are clearing.

Eligible older Curvv EV variants get a Rs 3 lakh cash discount plus up to Rs 35,000 as an exchange or scrappage benefit, taking the maximum to Rs 3.35 lakh. The old base Creative variant gets a smaller Rs 2.5 lakh cash discount, so its total benefit is capped at Rs 2.85 lakh.
Buy a current SeriesX Curvv EV and the picture is very different. The maximum October benefit is only Rs 65,000.
Rs 3.35 Lakh Means Old Stock
Tata reorganised the Curvv EV range in May 2026 under the SeriesX name. The smaller 45kWh battery was discontinued, and the current range moved entirely to the 55kWh pack.
The present line-up consists of Accomplished X and Empowered X variants, with a Dark version at the top. Current prices sit at roughly Rs 17.19 lakh to Rs 19.39 lakh ex-showroom.

SeriesX cars get up to Rs 35,000 as exchange or scrappage support plus a Rs 30,000 loyalty benefit. There is no Rs 3 lakh cash discount on these versions.
That is the first thing a buyer needs to establish at the dealership. A quotation saying “Curvv EV discount up to Rs 3.35 lakh” is incomplete unless it also identifies the exact variant and whether the car is pre-SeriesX stock.
Older Does Not Automatically Mean Worse
The older Curvv EV can still be a very good buy if the specification suits you. Pre-SeriesX cars were offered with both 45kWh and 55kWh batteries, depending on variant. The larger battery version is the stronger choice for longer-distance use, while the 45kWh car can work for buyers with predictable urban running.
The basic package remains attractive: coupe-SUV styling, V2L and V2V capability, a 360-degree camera on higher trims and Level 2 ADAS on the more expensive versions.
Tata also extended its lifetime high-voltage battery warranty to the Curvv EV in 2025, including eligible existing owners. So the big discount should not automatically be read as a battery-warranty penalty.
The more relevant question is whether an older variant lacks equipment you want from the simplified SeriesX range.
Harrier EV Is Also Heavily Discounted

The Curvv is not the only Tata EV carrying unusually large October benefits. Harrier EV Fearless+ and Empowered variants get up to Rs 2.75 lakh. The package includes a Rs 1 lakh intervention offer, up to Rs 75,000 in exchange or scrappage support and a loyalty incentive of up to Rs 1 lakh.
Adventure variants get up to Rs 2.5 lakh, while the Empowered AWD Stealth ACFC tops out at Rs 2.25 lakh because its intervention offer is lower. That creates an interesting showroom comparison. A heavily discounted Curvv EV can move much further away from the Harrier EV on effective price, but the Harrier is substantially larger and offers AWD on selected versions.
