An objectionable post has been made on CM Yogi Adityanath from a fake Facebook account created in the name of Uttar Pradesh’s Kairana MP Iqra Hasan. After the post went viral, there was a stir in the political circles and the cyber cell has started investigation.

A video containing objectionable remarks against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been posted on the Facebook account in the name of Samajwadi Party’s Kairana Lok Sabha MP Iqra Hasan. As soon as this post went viral, the stir in political circles has intensified. The atmosphere regarding posts on social media is becoming heated and communal color has started rising in many places.

There have been controversial posts before too

This is not the first time that controversial material has been posted from an account in the name of Iqra Hasan. Similar objectionable posts had surfaced about 10 months ago also. At that time the MP had complained by giving a letter to the DCP of Sansad Marg police station area of ​​Delhi. He had alleged that some unknown person was trying to tarnish his image by running a fake account in his name. Iqra Hasan had requested the police to immediately close this account, but even then no concrete action was taken.

More than 5 lakh followers, controversial video goes viral

The latest controversy has started from this fake account, which has more than 5 lakh followers. In one of the video frames posted, “Dangai Guru” is written along with the picture of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while “Dharmaguru” is written on the picture of Sant Premanand below. After this post, a heated debate broke out among the users in the comment section. Many people have described this video as inciting communal sentiments.

Police in action, cyber cell is investigating

As soon as the matter came to light, Uttar Pradesh Police and Cyber ​​Cell started investigation. According to sources, information about the IP address operating the account and tracking the post is being collected. Police are also investigating whether this fake account is being run by any organized cyber group or for political purposes.

Fake accounts exist on many platforms

According to information received from sources, more than half a dozen accounts exist in the name of Iqra Hasan on Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram. Some of these accounts also have a verification badge, making it difficult to differentiate between real and fake accounts. MP Iqra Hasan herself has clarified many times that she has no connection with these accounts and all of them are fake.

Increase in political atmosphere

This matter has come to light at a time when discussions have started about preparations for the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, such comments on CM Yogi have made the atmosphere more sensitive. BJP leaders have described this post as “disgusting and conspiratorial”, while SP leaders say that an attempt is being made to defame Iqra Hasan.
