Bigg Boss 19 contestant Tanya Mittal recently got emotional while reflecting on a difficult period in her life, revealing how online trolling and the fallout from the Mahakumbh incident affected her both personally and professionally.

Tanya Mittal opens up about losing everything after Mahakumbh incident in Bigg Boss 19: ‘They called me fake’During a recent captaincy task, wildcard contestant Malti Chahar questioned Tanya about her claims regarding her lifestyle and financial background. Malti accused Tanya of exaggerating her achievements and suggested she would ‘face reality’ once she left the Bigg Boss house. She also implied that Tanya’s family might be concerned about her situation outside.

The comments visibly affected Tanya, who was later seen breaking down in front of fellow contestant Zeishan Qadri. While consoling her, Zeishan encouraged Tanya not to let Malti’s remarks derail her game and suggested that Malti could be trying to get inside her head.

Tanya Recalls Mahakumbh Controversy and Past Trolling

While speaking to Zeishan, Tanya opened up about how the recent confrontation brought back painful memories from earlier in the year. She said, ‘Whenever my family’s name comes up, I tend to break down. And all this online trolling makes me even more anxious because it’s the second time this year.’

Tanya referred to the backlash she faced after the Mahakumbh incident in February 2025. She explained, ‘I told the truth at the Kumbh, but I lost all my security and professional contracts. People called me fake and claimed I was lying about saving lives, even though I spent 14 hours helping people.’

Tanya had posted a video on Instagram earlier this year, stating that after a stampede at the Mahakumbh, which reportedly claimed around 30 lives, a second crowd crush occurred, leading to additional casualties. Her claims sparked controversy online, with some accusing her of spreading misinformation. Tanya said the criticism not only affected her reputation but also resulted in the loss of security arrangements and professional deals.

Family Concerns Weigh Heavy

Tanya also shared her concern for her younger brother, who she said has been managing things alone while she is in the Bigg Boss house. ‘All of this is happening again, and I know my little brother must be worried. It’s been a tough year filled with constant struggles,’ she added. For Tanya, the stress intensifies whenever her family is mentioned, making it harder for her to maintain emotional resilience in the house.

As Bigg Boss 19 continues, Tanya’s emotional moment has sparked conversations among viewers about the real-world challenges public figures face—especially when dealing with online backlash and mental pressure. Her breakdown highlighted the emotional toll that fame and constant public scrutiny can have, even inside the Bigg Boss house.
