The screening, which took place at the Habibullah Auditorium of NDA, was attended by over 2,500 cadets and officers.

The highlight of the evening came when Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh, Commandant of NDA, addressed the audience at the end of the film and gave them the freedom to react as they wished. What followed was a thunderous and prolonged applause, which, in Kher’s words, ‘went on for an eternity.’

‘I only had tears of joy and gratitude,’ Kher said in his caption, reflecting on the long and difficult journey of making Tanvi The Great. ‘The hardships, the heartbreaks, the tough times, the disappointments, the difficulties we faced at Anupam Kher Studio were totally worth it!!’

While the film is yet to hit theatres, the emotional response from the country’s future Armed Forces officers has already made it a personal blockbuster for Kher. ‘I don’t know the future of the film, but the present of the film last night was like the brightest sunshine,’ he added. Thanking the NDA leadership, officers, cadets, and their families for embracing Tanvi The Great, Kher ended his message with pride: ‘We are PROUD and humbled! Jai Hind.’
