Pakistani soldiers fled their posts due to Taliban attack
Journalist Dawood Jumbish has shared a photo on his X handle, in which Taliban fighters are seen waving clothes and weapons of Pakistani soldiers at the intersection. According to Jumbish, when the Taliban attacked near the Durand Line, many Pakistani soldiers left their posts and ran away. After this, Taliban fighters captured their clothes and weapons from the checkpoints and displayed them publicly as evidence and of their victory.

Tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan started from October 8

First, Tehreek-Taliban Pakistan attacked in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, in which 23 Pakistani soldiers were killed. In response, on October 9, Pakistan carried out an airstrike in Kabul targeting TTP chief Noor Wali Mehsud. Although Mehsud survived, the news came that his son was killed. After this, on the night of 11-12 October, Taliban fighters attacked Pakistan’s military posts. During this period, Afghanistan claimed to have killed 54 Pakistani soldiers and captured more than 25 posts. On the other hand, Pakistan talked about killing 200 Taliban fighters. After this, Pakistan closed all the borders with Afghanistan, after which Saudi Arabia and Qatar started the work of ending the war between the two. Later, from the evening of 15 October, both the countries agreed to a 48-hour ceasefire.
