This series will start from March 15 and will continue till March 25. During this time, South Africa’s women’s team will also be in New Zealand and matches between women’s and men’s teams will be played on the same day.

Keshav Maharaj became the captain

The South African Board has announced a squad of 15 players for this tour only. Left arm spinner Keshav Maharaj has been made the captain for this series. Maharaj will replace regular captain Aidan Markram in this role. The South African captain will take a break of a few days after the T20 World Cup and then join his franchise Lucknow Super Giants to prepare for IPL 2026. The new season of IPL is to start from March 26, while the series will run till March 25.
