Today on Thursday, a meeting of BCB and Bangladesh government was held in Dhaka in which it was decided that Bangladesh cricket team will not play T20 World Cup match in India. Now ICC will give a chance to Scotland in T20 World Cup instead of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh called ICC a failure
The President of Bangladesh Cricket Board, after meeting with the government, announced that his team will not play a single match in India. He called it a failure of ICC. BCB President said, ‘ICC did not shift our matches from India. We do not know about world cricket, its popularity is decreasing. ICC has disappointed 20 crore people. Cricket is now going to the Olympics but if a country like ours is not going there then it is the failure of the ICC.
The fight will continue: BCB
The President of Bangladesh Cricket Board further said that they will continue the fight. He also raised questions on the decisions taken in the ICC meeting. He alleged that wrong decisions were taken in the ICC meeting. According to BCB President, only BCCI’s views were considered in the ICC meeting.
‘India unsafe for Bangladeshi players’
Bangladesh Cricket Board once again described India as unsafe. The Bangladeshi official said that the entire Bangladesh team is in danger in India. He said, ‘We want to play in the World Cup but there remains a security issue for our players. ICC can say whatever it wants on the issue of security. But one of our players has been pulled out of his tournament. India is hosting the World Cup, if they did not provide security to Mustafizur, then how will they provide security to our team. We cannot put our players in danger.
