This time 20 teams will participate in the T20 World Cup 2026. Five teams each will play league matches in four groups. The first group includes India, Namibia, Netherlands, Pakistan and America. The second group has Bangladesh, Italy, England, Nepal and West Indies. Australia, Ireland, Oman, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe are in the third group. The fourth group includes Afghanistan, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and UAE.

The matches of T20 World Cup 2026 will be held in 8 venues. Of which five are in India and three in Sri Lanka. These matches will be played in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Colombo’s Premadasa, Sinhalese Sports Club and Kandy.
