T20 World Cup 2026 Points Table Updated: Something amazing has happened in Group C of the T20 World Cup which has surprised every cricket fan. In fact, in the match held at Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, Italy defeated Nepal by 10 wickets, after which there was an earthquake in the points table of Group C. Italy, playing for the first time in T20 World Cup history, has left England behind by winning the match. Italy’s team has reached third position after defeating Nepal, while England has fallen to fourth position. Nepal team is at fifth position after losing both the matches.
T20 World Cup, Group C status
In Group C, West Indies team has retained the top position by defeating England and Scotland. Scotland defeated Italy but lost to West Indies but are in second place due to net return rate. Italy team is also in third place with 2 points in 2 matches. England team has 2 points but due to poor net run rate, it is in fourth place. Now if the England team loses even one of the next two matches, it will be difficult for them to reach the Super 8.
Italy’s charismatic victory
The Italian team, which qualified for the T20 World Cup for the first time, created history at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Nepal had given a target of 124 runs to this team and Italy scored 124 runs in 12.4 overs. Nepal team could not take even a single wicket of Italy. Italy’s opening pair played brilliantly. Justin Mosca scored 60 not out. Anthony Mosca played an unbeaten inning of 62 runs. Krishna Kalugamage took 3 wickets for 18 runs and became the player of the match.
