T-Series faces plagiarism allegations from KMKZ
In his post, the producer said, “I produced the number one song in India and I didn’t even know about it. Here’s what happened. So, I’m a music producer. I sell beats online and I go by KMKZ… I posted this beat about 2 years ago. And then fast forward to just recently, someone sent me this message saying that they found a song and they recognised the piano as one of my beats and they didn’t see me credited.”

According to him, the track, which currently has over 290 million streams on Spotify, sounded alarmingly similar to his work. Despite repeated attempts to reach out, KMKZ claimed that his emails to T-Series and the artists went unanswered. Expressing frustration, he remarked, “They pretty much just ripped the beat off of YouTube and didn’t contact me or pay me or credit me or anything. And now they have a number one song on Indian Billboard.”
The music producer’s video was accompanied by an appeal, asking followers to help his voice reach the right people. He also demanded recognition, writing, “There’s so many stories of producers getting ripped off nowadays but man 300m streams and number 1 on Billboard is crazy. I DEMAND A PLAQUE.”

More about Do Patti’s track Raanjhan
Raanjhan, sung by Parampara Tandon with lyrics by Kausar Munir, has been one of the most popular tracks from Do Patti. Released on November 20, 2024, the song currently has more than 33 crore views on YouTube. The film, directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, stars Kajol, Kriti Sanon, Shaheer Sheikh and Tanvi Azmi.
This is not the first time the label has been accused of plagiarism. Last year, musician Nilanjana Ghosh Dastidar claimed that T-Series and Sachet-Parampara had copied her husband Rajarshi Mitter’s composition for the track Maiyya, also from Do Patti. As of now, T-Series and the composers have not responded to the allegations.
