SWSOLAR share price target: Brokerage gives Buy rating on Sterling and Wilson

New Delhi: Brokerage firm Nuvama has initiated a ‘Buy’ rating on shares of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy (SWREL). The SWSolar stock was trading at Rs 212.96 apiece at the time of writing this article on Wednesday. The shareholders wealth jumped significantly as the scrip rallied 43 per cent over the past month.

The company has good balance sheet, strong order book. The Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy share is in focus as Nuvama gave a ‘Buy’ rating and set a share target price of Rs 300.

Sterling and Wilson Business & Financials

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited is engaged in the business of end-to-end renewable engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) solutions provider. The company has a huge presence at the international level as it business spreads across across 28 countries, including India, South East Asia, Europe, Australia, United States, Latin America, Middle East, and Africa.

In its report, Nuvama that Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy would record a steady growth of around 15 per cent growth in 2026-27.

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy’s Revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,719.12 crore in Q4 of 2025-26. For the entire FY26, the revenue from operations was recorded at Rs 6163.81 crore. Total expenses of the company was Rs 1670.89 crore in January-March quarter of FY26, while it was Rs 6067.49 crore in the previous financial year.

Total assets of SWSolar stood at Rs 4769.83 crore in the last quarter of FY26 and 7000.78 crore in entire 2025-26.

SWREL’s promoter: Reliance New Energy 

SWREL has strong promoters, including Reliance New Energy Ltd (RNEL) a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited Khurshed Daruvala, and the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, with RNEL holding a majority stake of 32.50%. The company commenced operations in 2011 and was part of Shapoorji Pallonji Group.
In 2022, Reliance New Energy Ltd (RNEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance
Industries Ltd, took stake in SWREL. Currently RNEL, Shapoorji Pallonji and Company
Private Limited and Daruvala Family hold around 32.49%, 7.54% and 5.70% respectively.
