Delivery boy’s job
Nowadays everyone is surprised to hear the earnings of delivery boys running scooty on the streets. Are the delivery agents of platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy and ZOMATO more than freshers of IT companies like TCS and Infosys? According to a report by Moneycontrol, freshers get salary ranging from about 2.5 lakh to 5 lakh rupees annually in big IT companies like TCS and Infosys. On the other hand, the annual earnings of agents on Oddiliary platforms can be from 3 lakh to 4 lakh rupees.
However, this earnings completely depend on their working hours, the number of delivered orders and the incentives received. Agents who work hard and work in high demand areas can earn 50 thousand rupees or more every month.
Delivery agents earning according to hard work
The income of delivery agents on platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy and Zomato depends on many things, in which their city also plays an important role. Large cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore have high demand for orders, so the delivery agents there can be much higher than that of small cities.
However, there are some limits in this profession. The delivery job usually does not get health insurance, nor facilities like paid leave. While IT companies are fixed salary, the delivery agents’ earnings depend on daily work. If the day goes good and the order is received more, then the income is more but if the orders are reduced, then the earnings also decrease. That is why the delivery agents do not have stability in earnings, and it depends entirely on their hard work, time and luck.
There are many benefits in IT jobs
Freshers in IT companies may get less salary in the beginning, but it also gives many additional benefits, such as PF, health insurance, paid leaves and promotion opportunities. These benefits make the job stable and safe in a long time.
On the other hand, the earnings of delivery agents may be good, but facilities like health insurance or paid leaves are not available in their jobs. Although now some companies have started giving these facilities, but the IT sector is still far ahead in terms of benefits.
In addition, IT freshers have better career growth opportunities. They can achieve opportunities like apsculing, promotion and working abroad. Conversely, the income of delivery agents may be stable after reaching a limit and limited career growth.
