“Swayambhu”, starring Nikhil Siddhartha, has been stuck in post-production for a long time. The film was initially scheduled for release in February this year but has been repeatedly postponed due to delays in the VFX work.
Today, Nikhil shared an update on social media, revealing that he had watched some of the visual effects shots and was impressed with the work.
“Just saw some VFX shots of Swayambhu. PhantomVFX India have done a fantastic job for the movie. Can’t wait for the entire film on the big screen this year. You are all in for an amazing experience. Looking forward to delivering this magnum opus on screens,” he wrote.
However, the actor did not announce a release date. His post indicates that the team is continuing to work towards bringing the film to theatres this year.
The film, directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, also stars Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh in the lead roles. Touted as the costliest film of Nikhil Siddhartha’s career, “Swayambhu” is a period drama in which he plays a warrior king. The film’s extensive visual effects are a key part of its presentation.
