March 2026 It is going to be an exciting month for the Indian automobile sector, as many new cars are being launched this month. Most importantly, three mid-size SUVs are ready to hit the showrooms: the new generation Renault Duster, Skoda Kushaq facelift and Toyota Urban Cruiser Abella. The new Duster will go on sale on March 17, while the launch dates for the updated Kushaq and Abela have not been announced yet.

Pre-bookings for the new Duster have already started and deliveries are expected to begin in April 2026. Initially, this SUV line-up will have two turbocharged petrol engine options: 100 BHP (1.0 litre) and 163 BHP (1.3 litre). Its 1.3 liter engine is the most powerful in its segment. It will have both manual and automatic gearbox options. A new Renault Duster Hybrid will also be launched before Diwali 2026, which will be powered by a 1.8-litre petrol hybrid engine.

Prices for the new Skoda Kushaq facelift will be announced in the coming weeks. This updated model includes minor design changes and many new features, including massage function on the rear seats for the first time in the segment. A new 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and 6-speed manual gearbox will be offered with its 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine. The existing engine options will continue to be available as before.

The Toyota Abella electric SUV will be available in three variants – E1, E2, and E3. It will have two battery pack options of 49kWh and 61kWh. The entry-level E1 variant will have only a 49kWh battery pack, while the E2 and E3 will have a larger 61kWh battery pack. The smaller battery pack offers a range of 440 kilometers, while the larger battery pack offers a range of up to 543 kilometers on a single charge. Abella is available in five monotone (one colour) and four dual-tone (two colours) color schemes.
